Guest House Sleep

I crawled back into bed this morning for the second time.
I closed my eyes.
I envisioned what it was like to wake up at the guest house in Thailand again.
I began to confuse the sound of sprinklers with the rush of the canal.
The birds were out of sight…only noise.
I told myself I was there and fell asleep just that way.

It constantly crosses my mind how badly I want to return there. Thailand has had a way with me that I can not fully explain. I guess I truly fell in love with that place.
